Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania's most underrated gems. Located just a short drive from the bustling safari hub of Arusha Town, it features a stunning variety of terrain—from the cloud forests of Mount Meru to the swampy Ngurdoto Crater and the alkaline Momella Lakes.
While it may not have the predator density of the Serengeti, it offers a more intimate and serene safari experience. It is the best place to see the beautiful Black-and-White Colobus monkeys and offers clear, breathtaking views of both Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days.
Standing at 4,566m, Tanzania's second-highest peak is a rewarding but challenging climb that serves as an excellent warm-up for Kilimanjaro.
